AFTER HOURS: HOLIDAY WINES

6-7:30pmAh yes, the big fall and winter holidays!! Hosting, traveling, partying, cooking, EATING with our friends and loved ones…
It really is a great time: dappled light fades to steely grey, the lights of the city dance, and in our own ways - through old traditions or with new friends - we make an effort to come together showing the best of our qualities as people. We are excited to do something a little different at this special After Hours: an exploration of some of our favorite wines that seem well suited to celebrating, feasting, and gifting. We’ll taste 6 bottles representing different styles that are perfect for different occasions, meals (both classical and playful), and parties (both large and intimate).
We hope you join us ushering in a wonderful time of year by opening some exciting bottles that might take some of the guesswork out of what can be a hectic time, leaving more time and energy for mirth and merriment!

AFTER HOURS: BLIND TASTING
Thursday, January 9
6-7:30pmOur first “blind” after hours! We’ll start with varietal wines from different terroirs and styles. This is a friendly tasting to encourage participation - we’ll discuss expectations and preferences/prejudices and how wonderfully surprising wine can be. We’ll taste six wines and see if we can figure out how it’s possible to make such many-splendored things, and we’ll explore how we “talk” about wine.
This is a private tasting to allow guests time to ask questions and engage with the group. The event starts at 6pm.
