Nerantzi Malagousia White 2023
Location: Greece
Winemaker: Nerantzi Mitropolous
Grapes: Malagousia
From us at M&L: Nerantzi Mitropoulos and his daughter Eva craft Greek wines at the border of Macedonia and Thrace, revitalizing their families’ vineyards to focus purely on indigenous grape varietals, natural vinifications, and even the use of Balkan oak for certain cuvées. The estate now covers 20 hectares, 10 of which are vineyards and the other 10 dedicated to olive and fig trees. The Malagousia is beautifully sumptuous, with rich nutmeg, pineapple gomme, and fresh cream. Almost Viognier-like—drink with rare steak or duck.
